DeVilbiss iGo Portable Oxygen Concentrator Review
The DeVilbiss iGo portable concentrator is a 3-liter unit that has both continuous flow and pulse dose modes. It weighs around 20 pounds and is able to operate on 3 different power sources: rechargeable battery, AC Power, and DC Power.
It operates from a setting of 1 to 6 in pulse dose mode, or from 1 to 3 liters per minute in continuous flow mode. The pulse dose mode has an integrated oxygen conserving technology that extends the usage time of the iGo. It offers increased efficiency and mobility and improves on overall comfort.
The iGo has increased battery life that can make it last up to 5 hours in pulse dose mode when the battery is fully charged. The charge time is swift, with normal charge times between 2 and 5 hours. The battery automatically recharges when you connect the unit to an AC power source. If you are operating on AC power and that is interrupted, the iGo will switch to battery operation.
The iGo was put through rigorous testing to make sure it delivers reliable, consistent performance. It was designed with the active user in mind and can handle some of the toughest terrains. The rolling carry case has an opening that makes it easy to access the external power supply and cannula. There is also an easy to access filter department. The control panel is easy to read whether at home, in a restaurant or an airplane seat. The control panel is easy to understand whether at home, in a restaurant or an airplane seat and features a battery status indicator that displays the remaining time left on the battery. It has audio alerts that include low battery and low oxygen, high temperature, unit malfunction and power failure.

I was in a very hot area a few weeks ago when we went on a road trip and we went through the desert. It got up to 102 degrees during the daytime and I was afraid that my iGo would overheat and stop working while I was using it.
Luckily the iGo can continue working in temperatures as high as 104 degrees and as cold as 41 degrees. I’m really pleased with how robust and versatile this machine is and I would recommend it to anyone living or regularly traveling through rough climates.

I can’t see very well, but the control panel is nice and big and the lights make it easier. Very simple to use. Works perfectly and I’m satisfied with it.

It’s great for patients who need a higher dose, but it’s still not too big to cart around with you. It’s low fuss and low maintenance.
Charlotte N. –
The cart is easy to maneuver and easy to access the battery without taking the whole thing out of the case. I took it with me on my vacation to Niagara Falls and it wasn’t a bother at all. Wonderful concentrator all around.

I was walking along some pretty bumpy terrain and I was worried about my iGo. I guess didn’t need to be, though! It can take a beating and be fine.

When one of my patients needs a higher dose of oxygen on pulse dose, I direct them to this concentrator. I’ve only seen good things about it and no one has complained. It meets their needs wonderfully.
Franklin S. –
For something this big, I would have thought it would have a higher continuous flow capacity. Seems like they could have gone higher with that, with a lower pulse dose capacity.
Jimmy R. –
They were really thinking when they made an easy to access door through the case. I like that you don’t have to completely remove it from the cart to service the filter. Makes it convenient!

I’m so glad I can use this oxygen concentrator with the dosage of continuous flow that I need. My choices seemed slimmer because I need continuous, but this delivers. I’m very satisfied.
Ken W. –
I was worried that it might not meet my needs when I start exerting myself more. The conservation feature is better than I expected. This things is amazing.

I got the iGo battery package, since I need more battery life on my trips around the world. Great choice for the value.

Can not detirmine if this machine can be used with a C-pap

The machine is great, easy to move around and travel with it. Since I use it a lot for going out, I have 5 batteries that I use to change every 3 hours. What happened over time is that the connector of the battery to the machine is of the worse quality and it started falling apart. I got Devilbiss to replace them once, but they felt apart again.

Battery should be covered by warranty and the control panel requires modification so that vision impaired people can operate the machine.
