CAIRE SeQual Eclipse 3 Portable Concentrator Review
The CAIRE SeQual Eclipse 3 portable oxygen concentrator is one of the most stable pulse dose and continuous flow units in a 24 hour, 7 days a week package. The Eclipse 3 is one of the leading portable concentrators for mobile and stationary oxygen needs. The Eclipse separates oxygen from ambient air by filtering and dividing nitrogen and oxygen, and then it removes the nitrogen. This cycle then concentrates the oxygen and delivers it to you.
The Eclipse 3 can provide oxygen in both Pulse Dose and Continuous Flow Modes. In Pulse Dose Mode, oxygen is supplied in a burst at the beginning of each breath. providing a selectable range setting of 16 to 192 mL. In Continuous Flow Mode, the oxygen is supplied at a constant flow with rates between 0.5 and 3.0 liters per minute.
The battery life can last for up to 3 hours (depending on setting) and can be charged while in use. The unit operates on either internal rechargeable battery power or an external power source. It includes a desktop battery charger that recharges the internal battery when the unit is connected to any external power source.
It features an easy to transport cart with an effortless telescoping handle to transport the unit over even the toughest terrain. This is one of the most user-friendly portable concentrators available today. It also comes bundled with a variety of accessories to help support the active lifestyle, including an accessory bag and cart.
The SeQual Eclipse is approved by the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) for use during flights on most major airlines. You can also use it on buses, trains, cruise ships, and boats.
Don’t be tied down to oxygen tanks or large home concentrators. Get your freedom back!

It works like a charm! This purchase means I can now go on vacation.

Our SeQual works really well and has given my wife the liberty to take a vacation whenever she feels the desire to do so.

This Sequal Eclipse 3 machine has given me the freedom to travel, go camping. It works great for everyday use for oxygen. I need it on constant at night and pulse during the day.

My wife Jackie, now has the freedom to travel. We used an Eclipse3 loaned to us by the medical supply company she gets her oxygen from, but they have gone out of business and the new company has no loaners, so we just purchased one for our needs. For travel, I mount it in the trunk and feed the air and power lines into the car between the rear seats to the front, using a 25 ft air line. When we stop for food or lodgings, it is a simple matter to open the trunk, disconnect the air and power lines, reconnect another cannula and we are off and running on battery power. Coming back to the car, just reverse and we are on our way. Of course to stop overnight, the 110 volt AC line goes in with us along with another 25 ft air line so she has freedom to roam about the motel room. Needless to say, we both love the Eclipse3 for its ease of use and ease of portability.

Easy to use, wish it was a little smaller

We did a lot of walking the other day and it was able to meet my oxygen needs right when I needed it. I tested it with my blood oximeter. Still light enough to carry on my back, too.

The battery doesn’t last quite as long as I’d like. The charge time is also pretty long and use 3 LPM, which seems to be the most drain on this machine. I guess that’s the most I can ask for with a portable unit.

My patient who uses this machine is doing great and we barely have to do anything to it. It let’s us know when something changes, too. Dependable and versatile machine.

If it was just a little smaller it would be perfect. I guess I’ll just have to wait until the bring out the future technology for portable with more power that I can stick in my pocket.

Going on vacation soon on a cruise and I needed a good portable for that. This machine seems to be meeting my needs in every way. Can’t wait to go and thank you.

I’ve actually had my Sequal Eclipse 3 for a year now, and it feels like this thing just won’t quit. Everything is still working great. The battery is still going strong even though I use it a lot.
Jerry K. –
The autosat feature is amazing. Very smart machine and it’s like it was made just for my breathing patterns. Very happy with this concentrator.
Sloan D. –
I need a lot more oxygen while I work out to strengthen my lungs. This concentrator adjusts nicely and meets my needs.
Alphonse W. –
I pictured this concentrator being a lot bigger when I saw it on the website but that was deceiving! I decided to wear it on my back, instead of the cart all the time. Not too bad!
Fayza A. –
It makes sense that it’s louder on the highest setting, but it was annoying me a little at first. I got used to that, though. In every other way, it’s a great portable concentrator and I’m satisfied with it.

I love this unit, best portable.

I rented this model for a weeks trip. My first one time with a SeQual Eclipse 3 portable concentrator and I was very satisfied. Now I need to see my Dr. and get a prescription so I can purchase one.

Rented from our respiratory medical provider for travel purposes. Both times we experienced unexplained failure to function properly. Red light, high pitch beep and turn itself off. Both times requiring a replacement, both times being sent a new model. Will not rent one or buy one of these.will research product material before I purchase our own. Currently stranded two extra days in Houston, while we wait for a replacement from our California base supplier.

The beauty of this machine is it gives you freedom to do what you want ,where you want, when you want. You don’t have to preplan if you want to go on a road trip all you have to do is pack & go. I love that! I have had my Eclipse for almost 2 yrs and I am more than satisfied.

The SwQual 3 portable is a nice machine but the battery life is nowhere close to the advertised numbers. I was also told by salesperson prior o purchase that the internal battery could be charged while using and plugged in to a DC outlet. hat does not seem to be the case. So, with short duration batteries you either need to purchase additional ($365.00 each) or buy a desktop charging unit ($165.00 each). which does not run on DC power .

I have had mine now for 4 years with no problems

I have had an (actually 3) unit and have not had one yet that would charge in the car without bl;owing the fuses. This is in 3 different vehicles, a van, an suv and an RV. The batteries last 20 to 30 minutes which is way less than it says in the hype for it. I am on o2 24/7 at 3 liters and this will not work at 3 if plugged into the car, it automatically goes to 2L. I can do the 2 in the car if I am not moving around.

At this point I’m not sure. I’ve had numerous health problems, and was unable to use it. Now I’m much better and am planning on a few short day trips to see how I do. I will do a follow up review within 30 days and we’ll see how compatible we both are.
